UniTor systems awarded at EVALITA 2026 🎉

We are glad to announce that our UniTor systems achieved excellent results at EVALITA 2026.

• Best System in Cruciverb-IT, the task on Italian crossword clue answering.
• Best System in EVWSD-ITA, the task on Enhanced Visual Word Sense Disambiguation for Italian.
• Honorable Mention in the “Federico Sangati” Best System Award for DeSegMa-It, the task on detection and segmentation of machine-generated texts in Italian.
• Participation in PFB, the task on benchmarking language models in the financial domain.

These results further consolidate our work on retrieval-augmented reasoning, multimodal grounding, machine-generated text detection, and domain-specific question answering for Italian.
